Wholesale Sweets – What Should You Look For From a Supplier?
At the owner of a sweetshop I’ve taken many years to build up the range of sweets that I offer. I’m often asked how I go about finding the best suppliers, whether by other sweetshop owners or by people who are considering setting up either a sweetshop or a market stall.
Well until a few years ago it wasn’t easy. I was very much restricted by geography (weren’t we all?) – I could only use suppliers within driving distance, and that restricted things massively.
That all changed with the growth of the Internet.
We all know that things nostalgia have never been popular and with the launch of online sweetshops, and the leading UK online sweetshop A Quarter Of in particular, retro sweets are definitely at the forefront of this nostalgia rush.
But, whether you have a full scale nostalgic sweetshop, if you’re a market stall holder… or if you just want to be able to have a retro sweets selection in your shop, where can you get these old fashioned sweets from? And, equally as important, what should you look for from a wholesale sweets supplier?
